What a weekend! ⚾🥎
We had an incredible two days filled with baseball and softball action, and we couldn’t be more thankful for everyone who helped make the 3rd Annual Ryder Shortridge Memorial Tournament such a success!
First, we want to give a huge thank-you to the Shortridge family for everything they did throughout the weekend — running concessions, tending to the fields, helping wherever they were needed, and so much more. Your time and dedication mean more than we can say.
We also want to thank every baseball and softball team who traveled and participated this weekend. This was our first year adding a softball division, and we are incredibly grateful to all of the softball teams who helped make it such a special addition to the tournament.
A special shout-out to Garrett Marsh for all the hard work you put into getting the fields ready. We truly appreciate everything you did!
There are so many people who played a part in making this weekend happen that we’d be sure to leave someone out if we tried to name everyone. Whether you were a player, coach, spectator, family member, or volunteer, please know that this tournament could not happen without you. Thank you for being part of the Ryder Shortridge Memorial Tournament and helping us continue to honor Ryder’s memory through the game he loved. ❤️
🏆 Baseball Champions
Congratulations to Capital City Bandits Black on their championship win! And congratulations to Capital City Bandits Blue on finishing as runners-up. Both teams played an incredible game!
🏆 Softball Champions
Congratulations to the Copperheads 10U on taking home the championship! And congratulations to Mamba 10U on finishing as runners-up. What a great game from both teams!
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came together this weekend to celebrate Ryder, remember his life, and keep his legacy alive.
“Heroes get remembered, but legends never die.” 💙
Until next year! ⚾🥎
