Our friends at Lake Ontario Trout & Salmon Association wanted the details of our catch on our "Big Fish" award winner from last week's Don Johannes Memorial tournament. We were a little reluctant to share the details with $30,000 on the line that upcoming weekend for the Pro/Am but I told them once the tournament was over I would give up the info. So here it is!

Team Legacy- The 2026 Pro-Am Niagara Champs! It's been a humbling 20 years fishing this event and finally we were able to walk away victorious! After winning the Johannes memorial event on Wednesday we felt pretty good leading into the tournament. Day 1 we were in 8th place and about 30 points behind the leader. We knew we needed a big box on day 2 to make the comeback. Day 2 on Saturday was met with a small craft advisory and heavy winds which meant day 2 would happen on Sunday instead. We had our fingers crossed that this would hit the reset button and change the water for everyone. Day 2 we felt we had had a monster box. We had good 10 kings however we had 2 small fish in there also. We just needed the bite to be tough for everyone else. Well we got our wish and jumped from 8th to 1st with a 277 point box on day 2. Shout out to my guys for an amazing week both on the water and dockside!
