WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU’RE GOING OUT TO EAT

✨Prioritize protein
✨Add a vegetable to your meal
✨Low calorie beverages
✨Look at the menu beforehand and come up with a plan
✨Avoid too much fried food
✨Have a small protein rich snack a few hours before
✨Eat most of your meals at home, and go out to eat for special occasions

Going out to eat is absolutely fine, even on your fitness journey!! As humans, eating together is a big part of how we connect socially. Be mindful, not restrictive. The fitness journey is about balance and small daily habits, not what happens every once in awhile.

CAN YOU DRINK ALCOHOL AND STILL LOSE WEIGHT??

The simple answer is yes, as long as the drinks you are having fit into your calories. Here are some tips…
✨ Choose lower calorie cocktails, things like juice and soda have a lot of calories, instead opt for soda water or sugar free juice
✨ Limit your drinking to special occasions. It’s best to fuel your body with food, rather than “spending” all your calories on alcohol
✨ When you are drinking, keep a 2-3 drink limit, the more you drink, the lower your inhibitions and you are more likely to eat over your calories for the day

Everything in moderation is true about a lot of things, including alcohol. Just be aware of how much you are consuming and how it’s effecting your goals.

5 CALORIE DEFICIT TIPS…

✨Switch to low calorie beverages- sodas and fancy coffees have a lot of unnecessary caloies
✨Base every meal around protein to help keep you full
✨Don’t restrict yourself!! Eat the cookie, just make sure it fits into your calories
✨Add veggies to your meals, they are a low calorie way to bulk up your meals
✨Give yourself a range for your deficit (if your deficit is set at 1,800 calories, allow yourself to have 2,000 on the days where you feel extra hungry)

Losing weight doesn’t have to be complicated, and it doesn’t mean you have to stop eating the foods that you enjoy. All it takes is some small sacrifices and adjustments. It doesn’t have to be all or nothing, when you start restricting yourself to meet your goals, you are going to fail every time.

5 things you can start doing TODAY to make progress in you health and wellness journey…

✨Drink half your body weight in ounces of water everyday
✨ Go on a 30 minute walk once or twice a day
✨ Add vegetables to at least one meal a day
✨ Eat 30 grams of protein in the morning
✨ Get 8 hours of sleep every night

Progress over perfection, always. You don’t have to change your whole life over night. Instead, implement small, achievable changes into your daily routine.
