The HC United 2016 Boys wrapped up their season with a fun-filled end-of-season party! The boys enjoyed a great afternoon swimming in the pool, playing corn hole, having water balloon fights, and watching the Champions League final match together.

We want to wish all the boys and their families a wonderful summer break. We’re already looking forward to reuniting and kicking off the fall season!

The Harris County United 2016 Boys wrapped up their Spring season this weekend at the Auburn Academy Cup, competing in the top bracket for the second time this season. Facing strong competition all weekend, the boys battled through a series of challenging and hard-fought matches that tested both their skill and resilience.

One of the toughest moments came during their second game, where frustration mounted after several difficult referee decisions contributed to a disappointing loss. Despite the adversity, the team refused to quit. The boys continued to play hard, support each other, and compete with determination all the way through the final whistle of the tournament.

Throughout the weekend, the growth of this team was clear to see. Their positioning and passing showed significant improvement, and the players demonstrated a much better understanding of working together on the field. Just as importantly, the tournament highlighted areas that will become a focus heading into the Fall season, giving the team a clear path for continued development.

This weekend the players showed heart, toughness, and perseverance against high-level competition. Competing in the top bracket again was another valuable step forward for this group, and the experience gained this weekend will help build momentum for the seasons ahead.

HC United 2016 Boys hit the road this weekend traveling to Montgomery, AL for a strong showing against Phoenix FC. The team dominated their first match, securing an impressive 7–3 victory with great teamwork and energy on both ends of the field. In their second game, the boys challenged themselves by playing up an age group in their first-ever 9v9 match. While the result didn’t go their way, it proved to be a valuable learning experience and highlighted key areas to focus on as they prepare for next season. A big thank you to our United 2015 boys for stepping in and helping the team today!

HC United 2016 Boys took a big step forward this year at the Emerald Coast Cup in Destin, Florida, earning their place in the top bracket after competing in the lower bracket just a year ago. It was their first experience at this higher level, and they faced three completely new opponents who tested them in different ways.

The tournament didn’t start in their favor, with tough losses in the first two matches, including a challenging opening game played in pouring rain. But the team showed resilience and determination, bouncing back in their third match under the hot Florida sun. In a strong finish, they secured a win that ultimately knocked the second-place team out of contention for the championship game.

While the final outcome wasn’t what they had hoped for, the weekend marked clear growth. Competing against stronger teams and battling through all kinds of conditions gave them valuable experience. The team walked away with a better understanding of where they stand and what they need to improve as they continue to develop.
