Congratulations to Lyman Hall Trojans Hockey on their CIAC D2 State Championship!
One thing that separates hockey from other sports is the cross-town bonds formed in youth organizations because not every town has a team. From wrangling each other's 4 year olds at the rink to braving Sunday morning blizzards on the way to out of state tournaments, parents and players become a family long before they hit high school Ice. So when we see those kids succeed, us parents, and our boys feel their joy and can appreciate their success, regardless of their uniform color.
Many of our boys and parents have strong bonds forged in the fire of this decade+ long journey with the players and families of the state champion Trojans as well as other teams throughout the state that fought hard this season.
All of that said, look out next year boys because the Grizzlies are coming ;)
