There was some GOOD softball being played today, yall! 🥎🔥

We faced some stiff competition, but man, our girls were making plays we haven’t seen them make before. The hard work is PAYING OFF, and it was so much fun to watch!

A couple highlights:

🥎 Ella caught TWO pop ups, Piper caught TWO pop ups, and Alaina and Aria each snagged one, too!
🥎 Alaina and Aria both hit the ball off the fence today!
🥎 Ashanti laid down a bunt in the second game and turned it into a HOME RUN!

Today was also a little bittersweet because it was MaKinley’s last 8U tournament with us. She has been such a solid player for us from the very beginning, and watching her grow into the player and leader she is today has been so special. We are incredibly proud of her, we are going to miss her SO much, and we pray she keeps playing the game we all love! 🥎💙

So proud of these girls and the softball they played today! 🔥

After a long first day back to school, we wanted to trade our normal practice for a little friendly competition. So tonight, we officially hosted the FIRST EVER HALIFAX HEAT OLYMPICS! 🏅😂

No Olympic Village. No trip to LA. Just Upper Carter Field, a bunch of competitive little girls, some very serious bragging rights, and an ice cream bar waiting at the finish line. 😂🍦

We were really blessed last night to hold a scrimmage with some local talent to help get our girls game ready for Friday. Hand in hand, we started the night off with prayer followed by GG bravely singing our National Anthem! Crazy proud of her courage.
