Congratulations Malaya, Leilani and Aniyah!!
Your Lady Huskies family is so proud of you and we cant wait to watch you play high school basketball!! 💚🏀

On June 9, the South Hagerstown girls basketball program celebrated its first Commitment To Character Signing Day for incoming freshmen, including Leilani Semeatu, Kendra Simon, Malaya Moore, Jayla Travis, Ariel Keyeke, Aniyah Cain-Grant, Kukua Essuman, Bethany Batsa and Autumn Smith. High schoolers present included Patricia Ngogang, McKinzie Walker, Autumn Watts, Autumn Fields, Sasha Monroe, Grace Attoh, Ashley Cortez and Kaliyah Seibert.

Today we celebrated our four incredible 8th graders, Malaya, Bella, Aniyah and Leilani who have given their heart, hustle, and teamwork to this basketball program. Through every practice, game, win or loss, and challenge, they’ve shown leadership, determination, and sportsmanship.

We are so proud of the athletes and young women they are. The future is bright for each of them, and we can’t wait to see all they continue to accomplish on and off the court.

We thank you for being such an important part of this inaugural season of the Lady Huskies!!

On Sunday, Feb 1st, the Lady Huskies hosted the North Hagerstown Queens in the second meeting of this new one city two teams rivalry! The Queens came with excited energy and looking for redemption from the prior Jan 11, losses to the Lady Huskies.

The Lady Huskies, both JV and Varsity, performed outstandingly on Sunday including an incredible 43 point performance by Varsity 8th grader Bella Ray! 💚

🏀 JV Lady Huskies pulled off a narrow but hard fought victory over the Queens to win 30-27!

🏀 Varsity Lady Huskies delivered a commanding performance in this second matchup defeating the Queens with a final score of 61-44!

Both teams displayed their passion for the game, competitive spirits, skills and teamwork. This matchup will surely be something to continue looking forward too!
