South Lake High School Football Coach Brad Lord Honored for 100th Career Win Milestone. 👏🏆💪🔥

South Lake High School proudly celebrated a major accomplishment as part of the football program's resurgence: Head Coach Brad Lord was presented with a commemorative trophy for his 100th career high school football victory in the state of Florida.

The presentation took place at the team's end-of-season football banquet, a deliberate choice to keep the focus squarely on the student-athletes throughout the competitive season. Coach Lord, known for his selfless approach, had insisted on no individual attention during games, directing all praise toward the players who made the successes possible.

Travis Alderink, the South Lake Athletic Director says "We surprised Coach Lord after the season wrapped. He didn't want any spotlight on himself, so we waited for the banquet to honor him properly."

Since taking the helm at South Lake, Coach Lord has engineered one of the most impressive turnarounds in recent Central Florida high school football history. Arriving after the Eagles endured a winless 2022 season, he rebuilt the program from the ground up, restoring the pride and competitiveness reminiscent of the school's early year’s and glory days in the 1990s.

Under his leadership, the Eagles captured their first district championship in 24 years in 2024. They repeated as district champions in 2025 while also achieving history in the process. South Lake advanced to the FHSAA Regional Finals in 2025 the deepest playoff run in school history and posting an outstanding 11-2 record before falling in the regional championship game to Armwood.

Coach Lord's milestone is just another chapter in his incredible career. Coach Lord has made an impact not just in wins and losses column, but in building character, discipline, and a winning culture at South Lake High once again.

Congratulations to Coach Brad Lord, his outstanding coaching staff, the talented Eagles players, supportive families, and the entire South Lake community for believing in the vision and making this achievement possible.
