Crusaders Youth Hockey is a non-profit organization that provides an ice hockey program to youths of Pepperell, Ashby, Townsend, Groton, Dunstable, Shirley, Ayer and surrounding towns. CYH focuses its efforts on the recreational benefits of hockey in an effort to instill lifelong qualities of responsibility, sportsmanship, team play, and personal achievement in all of our players.

Sq**rt Red is VHL Hockey Champions after defeating Andover 5-2 at the Haverhill Valley Forum on Saturday.

This team got contributions from up and down the lineup in a physical, back-and-forth matchup throughout the game.

Crusaders goals were scored by Andrew Perry, Wes Donnelly, Adam Shamberger and Jaxon Gleason.

Addie Tomaino, Katie Locapo, Ophelia Grover and Logan Rabbie battled hard all game, a trademark performance from a defensive corps who was stellar all season.

Goaltender Brady Quin denied Andover over and over, including a number of saves in the closing period that led to a booming "BRADY! BRADY!" chant that echoed throughout the Valley Forum.

It was an amazing end to the season for a great group of kids, coaches and parents.

Thank you to Coaches Joey Tomaino, Nic Hildreth, Scott Gleason, Andy Grover, Sarah Grover and Alison Dupont for everything you have done for this amazing group this season. You've achieved your mission of making them better kids on and off the ice - with the extra bonus of a championship on top.

After an incredible playoff run that saw SIX Crusaders teams reach their respective Championship games — and 🏆 titles already secured by Mite Gray and Mite Black — it all comes down to this.

Lots of tickets getting punched this weekend… and Crusaders Peewee Black is one of them. 🎟️

Two tight battles and a 2-0 weekend sends them to the VHL Championship game. Saturday vs. Agawam had two HUGE moments—
a clutch penalty shot goal from D. Eagleston to take the lead, and a massive penalty shot SAVE by T. Judge to keep it.

Judge was ELECTRIC in net—turning aside chance after chance and allowing just 2 goals all weekend.

And in front of him? An absolute brick wall for defense.

Sq**rt Red will face Andover next week for the VHL Hockey Championship after defeating Rochester 9-1 in the semi-finals on Sunday.

Goals were scored by Addie Tomaino, Adalia Hildreth, Andrew Perry, Kolton Whitehouse, Bobby Maloney and Jaxon Gleason.

The Crusaders defense shined with great performances by Tomaino, Katie Locapo, Ophelia Grover and Logan Rabbie throughout the afternoon, stymying the Blackhawks offense attack for all three periods and quickly pushing with a counter-attack.

Sq**rt Red's season continues after an 8-4 victory over Danvers on Sunday.

The Crusaders offensive charge was led by Bobby Maloney, Kolton Whitehouse, Andrew Perry and Wes Donnelly.

Defensively it was a pack mentality in front of netminder Brady Quin, with Addie Tomaino, Logan Rabbie and Ophelia Grover leading the way.

Now they turn their attention to the semi-finals next Sunday against Rochester.

Sq**rt Black pulled off a huge 3-2 comeback victory over Micro Ice to advance to the semi-finals!

After heading into the third period down 2-0, the team rallied with 3 goals in the final minutes from Theo Copeland, AJ Azzolino, and Landon Lynch. Ethan Fairburn came up big in net to help seal the comeback win.

Upsets are happening across the division, and this team is heating up at the right time.

Even better — the team wrapped up the night celebrating an incredible season and their coaches with a well-earned hibachi dinner. 🔥🥢

Our Full-Ice Mites skated to a huge 3-2 playoff victory over the Middlesex Greyhounds!!! 💪🏒

Brandon Cyr stood tall in net with an incredible performance, while Mookie Schneider and Jack Norman lit the lamp! 🚨 Assists from Gavin Silva and Caiden King kept the momentum rolling.

Bantam Red came away with a huge 3-1 win in their first-round matchup again Methuen.

The first period was intense and competitive, with both teams battling hard and heading into the break locked at 0-0.

Braeden Rudy broke the deadlock in the second period, scoring the first goal of the game for the Crusaders. Methuen answered shortly after, sending the game into the third period tied 1-1.

After a hard-fought battle, the Crusaders came through with an incredible play as Dylan connected with James, who set up Braeden for his second goal of the game and the go-ahead score.

With less than a minute remaining, Methuen pulled their goalie in a last push, but the Crusaders stayed composed, battled for possession, and Dylan sealed the win with an empty-net goal.

The Bantams now advance to the next round of playoffs!

A big shoutout to injured players Owen and Kyle, who were right there on the bench cheering on their teammates every step of the way.er
