This Wilson A2000 softball catcher’s mitt came in needing a full relace after years of wear behind the plate.

Over the weekend it received:

⚾ Full relace with purple lace to match the original Wilson accents

⚾ Cleaning and conditioning

⚾ Pocket restoration

⚾ Ready-to-play shape

There’s something special about keeping a player’s gamer on the field instead of replacing it.

One of the coolest moments I’ve had with Turn Two Dugout happened today.

Brooks was at Gretna Training Camp working with Tyler Goodro Catching and the Field General Academy. While we were there, he spotted some Turn Two Dugout business cards sitting on the counter and immediately got excited.

To most people, they’re just business cards. To him, they’re a reminder of all the glove repairs, late nights, tournament weekends, and hard work that have gone into building this little business.

A huge thank you to Tyler Goodro and Gretna Training Camp for supporting local baseball and softball families and for allowing Turn Two Dugout to have a small presence in such a great facility.

Watching Brooks light up when he saw those cards was a reminder that this journey is about a lot more than gloves.

One of my favorite parts of glove work is seeing an old gamer get a completely different look and feel.

Had the chance to get this Wilson A2000 cleaned up and relaced this morning so a Gretna East baseball player could have it ready to roll for the state tournament. ⚾️

Always cool being able to help local players stay on the field during the biggest part of the season.

Fresh yellow lace on the black A2000 turned out pretty sharp too. 👀

Another glove brought back to life for the ball field ⚾️

This Marucci Acadia Series came in needing a full relace, and we swapped the original mint lace out for a bold turquoise that really makes the glove pop.

Full relace completed with:
✔️ Fresh turquoise lace
✔️ Cleaned up tension throughout
✔️ Pocket and finger structure restored
✔️ Ready for more innings

Really happy with how this color combo turned out against the tan leather and red piping.

Sunday at the field 👇

Back out at Gretna Crossing for day two.

Yesterday was a great start, but honestly this weekend has been about more than just glove work.

Getting to spend the day out here with Brooksy, working together, hanging out between games… that’s the stuff that matters most.

We’ll be here again today doing break-ins, relacing, and quick fixes on-site, if your glove needs anything, come find us.

Appreciate all the support so far, it’s been awesome meeting so many people 👍

Day 1 out at the GYSBA Storm tournament ✅ Appreciate all the support today 👇

Had a lot of people stop by for glove work and gear, and got to help out with break-ins, relacing, and a few last-minute fixes throughout the day.

And honestly, getting to have Brooksy out here with me learning it all made it even better.
