Cougar Soccer Camp was a success! ⚽️

We had a great group of campers, learned a lot, and most importantly, had plenty of fun along the way!

A huge shoutout to Levi, Durham, and Ryan for taking time out of their summer to come help with the kids. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Thank you to everyone who attended and made this week so special. We hope to see all of you back on the field again next year!

‼️ Congratulations to Izzy Southerland, Addison Leopard, and Mia Storer for earning All-Region honors this season!

Congratulations as well to Izzy Southerland on a great performance in the SCISA North-South Game today. Izzy scored the only goal for the North and had a strong all-around performance. She closes out a spectacular Cambridge athletic career that saw her compete in seven state championship games across three different sports.

Congratulations to Mia Storer for being voted by her teammates as the Lady of the Match for her outstanding performance against Oakbrook Prep in the State Championship game! Her effort, leadership, and incredible saves stood out in a hard-fought match and helped keep the Lady Cougars in it until the very end. 💙💛

The Lady Cougars were defeated yesterday in the A/AA State Championship game by Oakbrook Prep in Golden Goal OT, 2-1. ⚽️

⚽️ Sophie Wilson scored from distance in the first half off a direct kick to give the Cougars the lead.

🧤Mia Storer recorded NINETEEN saves, including an INCREDIBLE reaction save to keep the match tied at the time.

Coach Rooney said of his team, “This group stuck with it all season, which is why we were playing for a title today. They pushed themselves to the limit today in 95 minutes of soccer, which is all I can ask for. They ended the season strong by winning 6 out of their last 8 games, and I am very proud of them. They were a fun group to coach, and I will greatly miss my seniors.”

Thank you to our seniors, parents, and supporters for an incredible season. The future is bright for Lady Cougars soccer! 💙⚽
