The MadBatters are happy to announce our new 12u Head Coach
Coach Steven Huffman
Steven is an active-duty Soldier who brings leadership, discipline, and a team-first mindset to the field every day. A former two-sport athlete throughout high school, Steven competed in both baseball and basketball, experiences that shaped his passion for competition, teamwork, and player development.
Over the past four years, Steven has served as both a head coach and assistant coach in the Lakewood, Washington area, helping young athletes grow their skills and confidence. During that time, he has been part of coaching staffs that led Capital Softball teams to runner-up finishes at the 10U and 12U levels.
As a 12U travel ball coach, Steven's goal is to build fundamentally strong athletes who are prepared to compete at the next level. He believes in challenging every player to push beyond her comfort zone, develop confidence in her abilities, and embrace a strong work ethic. His teams compete hard, play the game the right way, and strive to win while creating an environment where players have fun, support one another, and build lasting memories. Steven is committed to helping each athlete leave the season more skilled, more confident, and more prepared than when she started.
Will be having tryouts at Southport Little League on Saturday August 15th at 1:30pm.
