C**t Walker Catalina. This sweet boy is the driving force behind the C**t Catalina Foundation. C**t was just 2-years-old when he tragically drowned while in the care of a relative on March 21, 2010. There are so many stories similar to this one, as well as so many parents suffering through child loss. In many cases these sweet angels leave behind a brother, sister or both. Please help us continue our mission of raising awareness for drowning prevention & water safety. Drowning is 100% preventable!

Day 8 - This has always been one of my favorite photos of Jake because it shows his sweet nature. He was such a loving and kind little guy with a smile that could brighten anyone's day. Love you buddy!

Most of you might not know, but the C**t Catalina Foundation also focuses on child safety. When I started the foundation, I wanted to not only raise awareness for Drowning Prevention, but to also bring awareness to child safety as well.

I’ve been in contact with the Injury Prevention Program at Dell Children’s Hospital and they are always in need of brand new infant/toddler car seats. They work so hard to provide them to prevent kids from coming into the ER from car accidents. I would love to do a car seat donation drive (C**t’s Car Seats) every year just like the toy drive. I feel like I ask so much from everyone, but I do it for a good cause. Would anyone be interested in donating in the future?

10 precious little children lost their life to a drowning in July here in Florida. TEN TEN TEN! Let that sink in folks. That is basically every 3 days a child here in our state lost their life to something completely PREVENTABLE! We HAVE to do something about this! We are already at 67 deaths this year and we still have 4 1/2 months left. We CAN and MUST do better!

Broward 07/03/2021 5 1/2-year-old child was pronounced deceased after he was found unresponsive in a neighbor's swimming pool when he was reported missing from his home.

Osceola 07/05/2021 4 1/2-year-old child was pronounced deceased after he was found unresponsive in the swimming pool while the family was vacationing from out of state.

Bay 07/06/2021 6 The body of a 6-year-old child was found deceased in the water the day after he was reported missing while the family was vacationing at the beach from out of state.

Polk 07/08/2021 4-year-old child was pronounced deceased 5 days after he was found unresponsive in the swimming pool when he got our of the home undetected while the family was visiting at a relative's home.

Hillsborough 07/09/2021 3-year-old child was pronounced deceased 3 days after he was found unresponsive in the family's swimming pool when he went back into the water undetected.

Polk 07/12/2021 3-year-old child was pronounced deceased two days after he was found unresponsive in the family's swimming pool.

Pinellas 07/14/2021 7-year-old child was pronounced deceased three days after he was found unresponsive in a hotel swimming pool where the family was vacationing. The child left the hotel room while the mother was in the shower.

Polk 07/17/2021 6-year-old child was pronounced deceased after he was found at the bottom of a swimming pool while attending a birthday party at a relative's home.

Hernando 07/19/2021 4-year-old child was pronounced deceased 10 days after he was found unresponsive in the family's swimming pool when he got out of the home undetected.

Pasco 07/19/2021 1 1/2-year-old child was pronounced deceased four days after he was found unresponsive in the family's swimming pool when he got out of the home undetected.

Flagler 08/01/2021 1-year-old child was pronounced deceased 1 week after he was found unresponsive in the swimming pool while he was attending a pool party at a relative's home.

Adult Supervision
Doors/Windows locked and alarmed at all times
Remove Pet Doors
FENCE THAT POOL
Quality self-rescue swim lessons
Learn CPR

3879 days without him because there was no fence around the pool.

3879 days without him because of lack of supervision.

3879 days ago we had no idea drowning is the leading cause of accidental death in children ages 1-4.

3879 days ago we didn’t know survival swim lessons existed. Now we do.

We now know that survival swim could have saved C**t’s life.

Today and everyday, we advocate for them and many other layers of protection, so you don’t ever have to know the pain of losing a child to drowning.

Don’t let C**t’s story become yours. He is our WHY.
