This is one of my favorite pictures. Carter has always been good about dodging wrecks. This was a year ago up at Golden Sands Speedway. It just wasn’t in our cards to run up there this year. Schedule conflicts.

67 races in a bando this year and 12 wins. We do have other bandits wins but the 12 is where it’s a combined classes. Some were easier than others.
Our goal was 70 races this year and 5 wins with one track championship and a top 10 in nationals. We will probably hit 80 races this year. Hopefully we can get to 15 wins before the year is up with 2 track championships and a top 5 in national points. Top 5 will be a hard one to get but he did everything I asked of him this year. So I’m proud either way

Went to The Salem Speedway to turn some laps.
Got a bando win.
Also in the go kart feature. We almost didn’t go out because we found out the clutch was broke. So five minutes before the go kart feature started I told Carter to get back in his uniform and just turn laps. You’ll be off the pace.
He led majority of the beginning of the race before getting passed. You can tell the clutch was letting go on the long runs. With three laps to go I don’t know if Carter had a ” look it’s a squirrel” moment. He about flipped his go kart running by himself. They restarted with three laps to go. Carter immediately took the lead before he got drove through for the second time in 2 races by the same kart. Except this was on the final lap in turn three. 
Respect goes a long way. And videos don’t lie.
But on a positive note. There was no issue at the track with Carter and his helmet hanging over the top because it wasn’t. Like I said the whole time. It’s just how he sits in his seat. 15” b***y squeezing in a 13” seat🤣🤣🤣
