Making Waves Together in Greenville, South Carolina!

Aqua Angels is proud to collaborate with Outdoor Afro through its Making Waves program to help more Black families and individuals of all ages experience the joy, confidence, and life-saving benefits of learning to swim!

We’re excited to share that all 50 available swim scholarships have been filled! Through word-of-mouth and community outreach, we’ve connected participants with beginner-level swim instruction, and we’re so grateful to every individual and family currently taking part in this opportunity.

A heartfelt thank-you to Outdoor Afro for helping make these opportunities possible and to our participants for allowing Aqua Angels to be part of their swimming journeys.

This is what making waves looks like: building confidence, creating joyful experiences, and strengthening connections with water across generations.

We look forward to our continued collaboration with Outdoor Afro and to creating more opportunities for Black families throughout Greenville and the Upstate of South Carolina.

Our 2nd Annual Aqua Adventures Adaptive Swim Event was a SUCCESS! 🥹💙 Every athlete had an amazing time, and our hearts are FULL!
Seeing our athletes, families, friends, instructors, volunteers, and supporters come together was a beautiful reminder of what community is all about. 🫶🏽🫶🏿🫶🏻 From the smiles and laughter to the encouragement and celebration, we created memories that will last long after the splashing stopped! 💦🎊
