The road continues for 5 Star Indiana - Bazan as we head to Columbia, Tennessee to compete against some of the top 13U teams in the country!

Weekend Recap

This was a very competitive weekend for 5 Star Indiana-Bazan 13U, especially considering the level of teams at Championship Park. The record may not jump off the page, but the games tell a different story.

Record: 1-3

Loss vs Charge Fastpitch 2030/31 (7-5)

* Tied 4-4 entering the fifth.
* Defensive miscues proved costly, leading to the deciding runs.
* Team collected 11 hits.
* Multiple players with multi-hit games: Winter, Danica, Claire, and Jazmin.
* Zoey drove in two runs.

Loss vs Texas Glory (2-1 Walk-Off)

* One of the toughest losses of the weekend.
* Marissa threw a complete game, allowing just 2 runs.
* Charly, Winter, Reagan, Jazmin, and Marissa each recorded hits.
* Game was tied entering the final inning before the walk-off.

Loss vs Ohio Stingrays National (11-3)

* Score doesn’t fully reflect how competitive the game was early.
* Zoey’s 2-RBI triple gave 5 Star an early lead.
* Hudsyn kept the Stingrays in check through the first two innings.
* Stingrays eventually broke through with 14 hits.

Win vs Indiana Magic Gold Futures (6-5)

* Built a 6-1 lead.
* Claire’s 2-run homer was the big swing.
* Lyla added two RBIs.
* Marissa closed the door for the save.
* Team collected 12 hits.

GTS / PGF Memorial Madness Weekend Recap

🥎 Game 1 vs Northern ICE 13U Cheek5 Star Indiana-Bazan 13U opened the weekend with an explosive 11-0 win behind an 11-run second inning. Claire S earned the win in the circle and added a 2-run homer, while Zoey M led the offense with two hits. Strong pitching, aggressive baserunning, and clean defense set the tone early.

🥎 Game 2 vs Heartland Havoc 13UThe girls battled against a strong Heartland Havoc team but fell 6-2. 5 Star continued to compete throughout the game with hits from Winter M, Charly K, Danica F, Claire S, and Zoey M while once again playing error-free softball.

🥎 Game 3 vs JC Yellow Jackets 14U Krumpen5 Star took on another tough opponent playing up an age division and battled throughout a 7-2 loss. Raegyn B worked through five innings in the circle, while Marissa S and Danica F collected hits offensively.

🥎 Game 4 vs GTS Midwest HansenA hard-fought battle came down to the final innings as 5 Star fell 4-3 Sunday morning. The girls out-hit GTS 6-5 behind multi-hit performances from Jazmin P and Danica F and carried the lead early before a late score shifted the game.

Fast start set the tone early with runs in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
• 11 hits as a team
• Raegyn B picked up the win in the circle
