Wanted to get another rated round in and found a last minute one round challenge! Thanks to Scott Laricchia and Texas Chainwreck for putting on this event! Happy to have played the way I did today. A few errant shots on a couple holes cost me the win but overall felt good putting and really relied on my Jaden Rye Founders Seguin. Thanks always to Mountain Sports for being great and having the best gear and plastic around. Thanks to Lone Star Disc for supporting my play as well.

Recap of the past few months playing and taking a little bit of a break. Started playing a little more often and decided last minute to go play a tour ament in Arkansas’ highest rated course Persimmon Ridge Resort. Started out the tournament with a good round to put me on the chase card for round 2. Had a shaky 2nd round to drop me back about 15 spots. Came out in round 3 and wanted to make the cash line, foot on the gas. I caught some strokes and ended the tournament with a big drive and even bigger approach on to the 18th green from about 500 feet out and made the putt to card the birdie 3. Ended up securing last cash for the tournament. Big shout out to to Steve and Kim Jones for the hospitality and the beautiful course to play 3 amazing days of disc golf. Fast forward a couple weeks and I find out that I had been accepted to Lone Star Disc Ranger Team. I had only a handful of discs from Lone Star, so I had to acquire some new discs and start getting some practice with them, decided to play a last minute tournament in Waco at the Beast and trying to see how the discs were doing for me, it was a bit of a struggle as the first tournament using my bag full of Lone Star discs. I then took some time off from playing as I had some changes to my work life and needed to focus on work a little more. Today I went out and played with my local club Lewisville Disc Golf Club at Heritage park and secured my first mini win with my Lone Star bag! Thanks to my Founders Nimitz for securing my win on hole 17 with the Eagle 2.

Starting off the week yesterday with Professional Disc Golf Association Am Worlds Mixed Doubles. Started the first round out on 🔥. Went in to the second round with a 1 stroke lead to some phenomenal players. Ended the second round all tied up after regulation. Went in to a playoff and lost it after 2. Well done to Candence and Aidan for shooting 2 great rounds! Alexis, thank you for being such a supportive and positive partner to play with!

2022 PDGA Amateur World Championship is now only 2 weeks away! I have been looking forward to this tournament for a few months now, working on different aspects of my game. Putting, Approach shots, forehand, backhand. Trying to improve one day at a time. This will officially be my last Amateur tournament that I play. I am finally going to make the jump to the Open division to move my game to the next level.
