Today we are proud to recognize an outstanding example of student-athlete leadership at Keystone Heights Junior/Senior High School. Congratulations to Ryder Thomas, recipient of the Driven to Excellence Award, sponsored by Gordon Chevrolet of Orange Park!
This award was created to shine a light on the exceptional student leadership found across Clay County — and Ryder truly represents what it means to lead with excellence.
Ryder is a dedicated four-sport athlete at Keystone Heights, competing in football, soccer, cross country, and track & field. His commitment, determination, and leadership have made him a respected role model among teammates, coaches, and fellow students.
Beyond athletics, Ryder has distinguished himself through an extraordinary level of involvement and leadership on campus. Ryder’s impact extends far beyond the classroom and athletic fields. Through his involvement with the Athletic Leadership Council, school events, and local churches, he has accumulated more than 100 volunteer service hours. His dedication to serving others reflects outstanding character and a genuine commitment to making a positive difference in his community.
In addition to excelling as a leader, volunteer, and multi-sport athlete, Ryder has maintained an impressive 3.9 GPA.
