🏁 ELR Race Recap 🏁
🏁 Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America 🏁
🏁 WeekEnd Series: Race 8🏁

Evan was on a mission today at Road America! 🔥

SPORTSMAN 🏆
Starting dead last in Heat 1, Evan wasted absolutely no time charging to the front, taking the lead on Lap 2, and never looking back! He followed it up by winning Heat 2 AND the Feature for the clean sweep! 🧹🏁

🥇 Heat 1: P1
🥇 Heat 2: P1
🥇 Feature: P1

MINISWIFT ⚡️
Another start from the back in Heat 1 had Evan working his way through the field. He made it all the way to the front battle but simply ran out of laps before he could make the pass for the win.

He made sure there was no question the rest of the day:

🏁 Heat 1: P2
🥇 Heat 2: P1
🥇 Feature: P1

Six races. Five wins. One runner-up.

Starting at the front or starting dead last, it didn’t seem to matter today. Evan came to race…. and spent just about the entire day finding his way to Victory Lane… LET’S GO

🏁 ELR Race Recap 🏁
🏁 Badger Kart Club; Race #13 🏁

The day started wet, dreary, and with plenty of uncertainty about whether we’d even get to race. Thankfully, the weather cooperated enough to get the full program in…. and once racing started, Evan was on it 🔥

Running both Briggs 206 Sportsman and Mini Swift, Evan won every race he finished.

🔥 Sportsman: Heat 1: P1 Heat 2: P1 Feature: Evan was leading with 5 laps to go when a carburetor issue suddenly ended his day. Brutal way to lose one after controlling the race, but sometimes that’s racing.

⚡ Mini Swift: Heat 1: P1 Heat 2: P1 Feature: P1, crossing the line nearly 15 seconds ahead of P2!

Five wins in six races, with the only one that got away being a race Evan was leading when the carb gave up.

From wondering if we’d even race this morning to an absolutely dominant day at the track.

Five races finished. Five wins. One mechanical DNF. One seriously fast kid. ⚡️🏆🏁

As always, huge Thank You to our sponsors!!!

🏁 ELR Race Recap 🏁
🏁 FAT Electric Karting 🏁

A little change of pace this weekend as Evan traded his usual race kart for an electric kart and jumped into the FAT Karting Pro Championship at the Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America

And apparently… a kart is a kart. 😎

Evan took the lead and brought home the WIN by 10.8 seconds! 🏆⚡️

He also laid down the fastest lap of the race with a 40.739, more than six-tenths quicker than anyone else in the field.

Different kart. Different powertrain. Same kid up front 🔥

🏁 🏆 WINNER
⚡️ 10.823-second margin of victory
⏱️ Fastest lap: 40.739

Pretty cool seeing Evan adapt to something completely different and immediately find his way to the front.

Electric or gas… he just wants to race🏁⚡️🏆

As always, huge Thank You to our sponsors!!!

🏁 ELR Race Recap 🏁
🏁 Road America Kart Club 🏁
🏁 WeekEnd Series: Race 7🏁

🏁 SIX STARTS. SIX WINS 🏆 🏁

What. A. Day.

Evan pulled off a PERFECT SWEEP today at the Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America, competing in both Briggs 206 Sportsman and MiniSwift.

The assignment was simple: two 5-lap heats and a 10-lap feature in each class

The result? 6 races. 6 checkered flags. 🧹🔥

🏆 Sportsman Heat 1 - P1
🏆 Sportsman Heat 2 - P1
🏆 Sportsman Feature - P1
🏆 MiniSwift Heat 1 - P1
🏆 MiniSwift Heat 2 - P1
🏆 MiniSwift Feature - P1

And the Sportsman final wasn’t particularly close, Evan stretched it out to a 9.015-second victory 😳

But one of the coolest moments of the day came after the racing. Evan and Liam battled on track, then immediately found each other to hang out on the podium. Competitors when the helmets are on, buddies when they come off. That’s karting ❤️

20 laps of heat racing. 20 laps of feature racing. Two classes. Six races. Six wins.

A pretty good way to spend Race #7 at Road America 😎🏁

🏁 ELR Race Recap 🏁
🏁 Road America Kart Club 🏁
🏁 Weeknight Series: Race 12🏁

With the Sportsman championship already locked up, we decided there was no better way to close out the weeknight season at the Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America than to throw Evan straight into the deep end.

At just 11 years old, Evan made his Briggs 206 JUNIOR debut, racing up with the 12–15 year-olds for the first time. Full-size kart with wide rear tires, lots of weight cuz our driver is scrawny, and MORE POWER😳

but apparently he didn’t get the memo that he was supposed to ease into it…

Final Practice: P2 - just .010 off the top
Heat 1: P1 🏁
Heat 2: P4
Feature: P3 🥉

Evan came out swinging in Heat 1, taking the WIN in his very first Junior race! Then for Heat 2, he started in the back and charged all the way through to P4 in just six laps.

That put him P3 on the grid for the feature, where he battled with the front group and settled in to bring it home P3 and onto the podium in his Junior debut!

The speed was there all night, too. Evan ran a 39.192 in the feature, right in the mix with the leaders.

Sportsman championship secured ✅
First night racing Junior ✅
First Junior heat win ✅
Heat 2: P4 ✅
First Junior podium ✅

Not a bad way to close out the final weeknight race of the season at Road America 😎

Looks like Junior might suit him just fine 🏁🔥

🏁 ELR Race Recap 🏁
🏁 Road America Kart Club 🏁
🏁 Weeknight Series: Race 11🏁

A little different start to race night for Evan tonight! He missed first practice because he had middle school orientation… but once he got to the Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America, you certainly couldn’t tell

He jumped in for Final Practice and immediately went P1 with a 38.492, setting the tone for the night

🔥 Heat 1: P1, won by 1.278 seconds
🔥 Heat 2: P2, missed the win by just 0.030 seconds
🏆 Feature: P1!

The feature made him earn it. Evan had a rough start and fell all the way back to 6th, but with only 10 laps to work with, he started picking them off one by one.

P6 ➡️ P1

Evan fought his way all the way back to the front and took the checkered flag by 0.292 seconds! 🏁

Middle school orientation at the start of the night… standing on top of the podium by the end of it

Not a bad Tuesday for the #007 😎🏆

One more chance to catch some weeknight racing this season! The final Weeknight Series race is this Thursday at the Motorplex; come on out and watch the #007 battle it out one more time… we promise a surprise too
