Got up with the sun to go pick grapes. If I’m gonna drink the wine I gotta earn it! I’ve always known it was hard work but now I have a greater appreciation for what goes in my glass!

The world lost a solid human. was one of the kindest & determined/tenacious people I’ve known (you can be both). I coached him for several years but our conversations were always real & he taught me so much about staying true to who you are & want you want. Rip Roy, you’ll be missed greatly.

Perfect day in yesterday. The sun was out & the grapes are thriving. Schedule worked out & I was able to attend the Atlas Peak AVA masterclass at last night which was super interesting & very informative. Definitely an AVA that deserves more credit & notoriety!

Lovely time last night at enjoying special wines & delicious food. We are lucky to have this new restaurant & the people behind the scenes!
2 epic wines from last night:
1992 Duckhorn Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon - still chugging along with fruit & tertiary notes of Anise.
1983 (that’s old) - Laurel Glen Sonoma Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon - holding on by a thread - very pronounced olive character but still interesting!
