Winkler's karate academy focuses on teaching practical self-defense techniques, focus and self discipline/ self confidence. Sparring matches at Winkler's karate are not based on points and go for a full round non-stop, because just like

in real life an attacker won't stop just because you strike them. The style of karate we teach is American karate, which is a blend of Japanese, Okinawan, Korean styles of martial arts. It takes the best parts of many systems to make the training we offer both practical and effective. Each belt you receive is EARNED through hard work and practice. Winkler is passionate about teaching skills to his students and seeing them successful not only in the dojo but also in life.
