Our Story
The Grand Rapids Phoenix (GRP) mission is to encourage and provide opportunities for youth to develop as athletes and as citizens. Our goal is to teach student-athletes respect for themselves, their peers, and their community by instilling a code of ethics that is built on honesty, responsibility and team work.
We also promote a family atmosphere where there is open and transparent communication with our parents and student-athletes. Ongoing communication is vital for successful relationships between parents, players, and the coaching staff. Meaningful and timely communication is important for successful player development on and off of the basketball court too.
