🇵🇦 This one was a little extra special! 🇵🇦

Today I had the opportunity to teach a private Texas LTC class for a great couple who came down from North DFW to train with Rome Defense.

What made it even better? Finding out I was training fellow Panamanians! 🇵🇦🙌🏽 It’s always great meeting another paisano, especially while doing something I’m passionate about — teaching people how to safely, responsibly, and confidently exercise their right to protect themselves and their families.

We completed the entire class in Spanish, from the classroom portion to the range. 🎯🔫

I truly appreciate them trusting Rome Defense LLC with their LTC training and making the trip to train with me.

And of course… ¡PANAMÁ REPRESENT! 🇵🇦🔥

If you or someone you know would feel more comfortable taking their Texas LTC class in Spanish, send me a message. Private classes, couples, families, and small groups are always welcome.

This was my view growing up. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY.

Twenty-five years ago, I watched the second plane hit from Brooklyn. I saw both towers fall with my own eyes. That morning is burned into me — the smoke, the sirens, the silence that followed, the way a whole city (and a whole country) changed in real time.

I carry that day with me into everything I do now — as a peace officer, as an instructor, and as the owner of Rome Defense. It's part of why I believe so strongly in training good people to protect their homes, their families, and their communities. September 11th taught us that evil can show up without warning, and that the answer to it is always going to be prepared, capable people who refuse to be helpless.

Through it all, my faith in Jesus Christ has been my anchor. In the darkest moments — then and now — I know that God is sovereign, and that He calls us to stand firm, protect one another, and walk in courage instead of fear. That conviction is woven into everything Rome Defense stands for.

Today we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the resilience of a city that rebuilt. Never forget.
