Arthritis is common….and a LOT OF PEOPLE lay down and accept the diagnostic label, whether its GOUT-OSTEOARTHRITIS-RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS.

🙃They sprint to their doctor/GP and BLINDLY ACCEPT pain meds, injections and prevention medications. Blind!

But refuse to CHANGE THE BEHAVIORS that landed them there IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Trust me….I WATCH PATHOLOGICAL PILL POPPERS every day who are UNIMPROVED OR WORSE with arthritis pain! 🤔🤔🤔EVEN WHILE TAKING THEIR PRESCRIPTION ARTHRITIS MEDICATION. Not to mention, they are DEFICIENT/LOW or low-balling VITAMIN/K/Mag/Zinc from BIO-AVAILABLE SOURCES! 😬 🙄

No….the SATURDAY ON THE LAKE and WEDNESDAY in the yard DO NOT COUNT IF YOU ARE OLD N BUSTED, especially if you are doused with screen and a hat, sleeves n glasses. 🤷🏾🤷🏾🤷🏾 PS….the darker your natural skin, the more D you neeeeeed!

So what can you DO (ie: stop eating/consuming) to lessen your issues?

1. Stop with soy proteins as it is directly linked to JOINT INFLAMMATION and is deficient in many nutrients that STOP INFLAMMATION.
2. Stop any alcohol. If you are hobbling around, the older you get, the more them joints gonna react! If your 💩 don’t hurt, Im not talking to you. But the rest? PUT DOWN THE BOTTLE (can, boxed wine etc). Zero moderation….its about elimination. If you don’t mind suffering, then this is not for you.
3. Scrutinize your LABELS! If it reads ‘natural flavors’ or ‘natural vanilla flavor’ or ‘proprietary blend’, throw it in the TRASH. If it has corn oil, safflower oil, sunflower oil, canola oil, r**e seed, palm, gr**e seed, etc? Throw it out…EVEN IF IT SAYS KETO/HEALTHY/GLUTEN FREE/NATURAL/ORGANIC etc. Fat-free foods have ADDITIVES that CAUSE INFLAMMATION.

PS: If you WANT DEMENTIA (brain inflammation), then consume alcohol/wine AND sugar-free/fat-free foods🤷🏾.

Emulsifiers (dressings, non-dairy products and creamy faux milks, protein powders, protein bars etc.) are DIRECTLY LINKED TO INFLAMMATION. So that KEN’S Dressing? Flavored non-dairy creamer? Protein powder? Frozen fat free/sugar free ice cream treat? It’s causing INFLAMMATION (migraines, brain fog, neck pain, knee pain…anywhere there is an old surgical injury or injury itself, or even new hip pains).

Google common (safe) emulsifiers and throw away anything that has them…if you are trying to eradicate inflammation/pain.

Fun fact: They layer a lot of these toxins into PACKAGED and PREPARED foods. EVEN YOUR CHEESES, so READ YOUR LABEL.

4. Wheat and glutens cause inflammation in so many. Crusts, cereals, oats, breading, corn flours/almond flours, breads….did you KNOW MOST RESTAURANTS USE FLOUR OR THICKENING IN THEIR EGGS? So even if you choose an omelet, you are still ingesting JOINT INFLAMING ingredients.

Has more to do with chronic low key inflammation than it does to you hurting yourself. Your pain is more linked to LIFESTYLE, WHERE YOU ATE, WHAT YOU ATE/DRANK than WHAT YOU DID OR YOUR DIAGNOSTIC CRITERIA.

Vegans, especially older, who ingest soy powders, often have joint/kidney issues. The vegan processed foods actually inflame joints.

If you care about inflammation and joint pain, are in chronic back/hip/neck/knee pain OR are the daily complainer, take some time and educate YOURSELF on REAL CAUSES of inflammation.

Alcoholic drinks, seed oils (organic or not), creamy low fat/fat free/sugar free version, frozen desserts, protein powders/bars, anything with HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP OR DEXTROSE/MALTODEXTRIN, creamy dressings, bread/buns/pastries/desserts/baked goods, wheats….little kid foods….are all inflammatory especially as a collective ingesting over years.

If you are old /older without hip knee shoulder back ankle wrist pain brain fog sudden ‘bathroom’ habits ? AND ARE NOT ON MEDICATIONS? Then THIS IS NOT FOR YOU.

But if you complain if that joint(s) and continue to consume the things that inflame that joint(s), it is for you. Hopefully, you will make the change!

According to our results, a reduction in hemoglobin level and HCT % in male and female mice groups with a drop in RBCs, WBCs and platelets' count were observed upon short and long term administration of sucralose or stevia.

Sucralose and stevia, especially after 16 weeks of administration in male and female mice, significantly elevated levels of liver function enzymes (ALT and AST), urea, creatinine, cholesterol, LDL and free fatty acids.

allowed rats to choose between saccharin sweetened water and co***ne (a highly addictive substance); they found that 94% of rats preferred the sweet taste of saccharin.

After 18 weeks, significant elevations in liver and kidney function enzymes were observed in male and female mice administrated with both non-caloric sweeteners.

Histopathological examination in sucralose and stevia administrated groups confirmed the biochemical results; where it revealed a severe damage in liver and kidney sections. While, sucrose administration elevated, only, the levels of ALT, AST and cholesterol in male mice. A vigorous elevation in levels of different immunoglobulin (IgG, IgE and IgA) and pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-6 and -8), that was accompanied by a significant reduction in level of anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10, was observed in male and female mice groups administrated with sucralose or stevia. On the other hand, sucrose administration led to an elevation in IgA and reduction in IL-10 levels.

I am not here to argue, debate or even try and help you with your food for the 900th time.

Protein is a MAJOR ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT IN YOUR DIET and if YOU ARE NOT GETTING ENOUGH OF IT….

YOU ARE THE REASON FOR YOUR ISSUES.

Women need a lot of protein but OLDER WOMEN NEED EVEN MORE. But still, I see women eating tiny effin portions of protein and a 💩ton of carbs at most meals. They cannot figure out why they are not tone and carry fluff, but can totally figure out sudes for dinner and what to eat for dessert.

HOW MUCH? Varies. But for most men and women who train, its about 1 g per 1 lb of your body weight.

For morbidly obese folks, I gauge by their goal weight.

Me? I work to eat 160-180 g per day minimum, or the equivalent of about 8oz beef and 1 lb/16 oz of poultry per day. Some days, I take in a little more. Maybe a few eggs or some jerky.

Some days, less.

For the vast majority of people, however, they fall SHORT on protein.

Restaurants barely give you a decent amount then fill the gaps with appetizers, chips, breads, starchy sides, sauces and beverages.

THINK ABOUT IT

You go to a restaurant and order a chicken salad and a margarita. You received SO MUCH SUGAR from that one small drink, but the balanced it with 20 or less grams of protein! And filled in with croutons (more carbs), all the veggie carbs, cheese (fat carbs) and then dressing, which are usually laden with hidden sugars.

FACT: Waitstaff DO NOT KNOW ABOUT HIDDEN SUGARS.

Thats if you order a salad!

If you go for fried/breaded foods, sides such as rice, pasta, beans, potatoes, tortillas/flat breads, and other high carb foods, you are setting yourself up for cravings, low nutrition absorption, gut issues and other problems like YOU ARE HURTING.

This is the reason I prioritize protein. Carbs are HIGHLY addictive and do a lot of damage to your body via inflammatory responses,IBS and a host of issues, especially when you suck at discernment of what we NEED and what is me ACTING LIKE A 7 yo eating pizza, tacos, burgers, soda and sweets.

When I come up SHORT, I always have unflavored grass-fed beef protein powder on hand. I custom make and order mine for approx $20 for about 14 servings.

Grassfed Beef Isolate is the ONLY ingredient.

Even compared to some of the highly marketed and more expensive competition,
my stuff is unbeatable.

Grassfed bedf protein is SIGNIFICANTLY MORE bioavailable than whey and even more so than SOY PEA or other vegetable-based protein full of KIDNEY DESTROYING OXALATES.

Frail is not healthy.
Thin without muscles is not healthy.

The first label is mine. Its actually got a substantial EAA profile while its primary competition runs about $70 for one bag…VANILLA IS FULL OF SUGAR VIA NATYRAL FLAVORS, CHOCOLATE, OXALATES.

If you struggle with tone, shed the high starchy /fruit carbs except on 8/10 workout days and make sure you are aware how much PROTEIN YOU NEED.

Its how I start my weekend.

Do i fast daily? NO. Not beyond my normal sleep cycle.
Do i fast periodically? Yes. 14-18 or more hours 1-2x a week.

I also do not ingest sugar 99.9999999% of the time (its usually SNUCK IN by maltodextrin or dextrose in someones food because I AM A LABEL SLEUTH)

Heart health and diabetic risk reduction, especially during PERIMENOPAUSE AND BEYOND, is the reason I WALK DAILY. Not to mention, its essential for lowering stress/cortisol.

Too many mosquitos outside and my body does not like ‘heat’ anymore.

Note: MEN ARE DIFFERENT AND MEN DO NOT KNOW A WOMAN’S BODY IN TERMS OF HORMONES/TRAINING and this season of living. They will get you broken faster than you can imagine. Younger women? Same!

I’ve broken my fair share of women as a younger coach…now I realize.

Men can fast for extended periods without impact on their nervous systems. Men do not gain and inflame like women. Men can go DAYS fasted 3-30 or longer….and receive huge benefits as long as under supervision.

Here is to fasted Friday, long cortisol lowering CV work and end if week Strength Training.
