We had our annual awards banquet this past weekend and it was a huge success! We are so glad mostly everyone could make it! Thank you to Rocks & Roots Mini Farm Robert Shumaker and Lori Shumaker for preparing the wonderful dinner!

‼️Reminders‼️

Monday, March 9th there will be a mandatory meeting in the wrestling room for ALL wrestlers. This will be for turning in gear, clean-up of facilities and an exit interview with your coaches. This will take place after school and will hopefully be quick.

Also, March 22nd is our annual awards banquet. It will be in the Mary Battle studio at GHS at 6:00pm. Please RSVP by March 18th.

The 2025-2026 season has officially came to an end.

Maverick went out there and battled until the end while representing GHS with class and honor, even when things did not go his way. It was a huge stepping stone year for him. Congratulations Mav and we are all proud of the work you put in this season while battling an injury that many would have quit over.

Braxton was the other qualifier for GHS. He unfortunately sustained a shoulder injury that prevented him from wrestling. Even though he couldn’t wrestle, he showed up every day and helped any way he could while supporting his teammates. We have no doubt that Braxton would have represented GHS the same way Mav did. Rest up and come back even better!

LW, Big Debra, or as many people know him, Landon. With being a JV wrestle, the opportunities to wrestle on the big stagges are slim to none. So, LW was given a challenge at the beginning of the season. Work hard, be present, and be a good teammate to the other varsity guys and help get them ready for their matches, and he will be Braxton’s partner for states. Even though Braxton was hurt, he showed up everyday after regionals and still put work in while helping. So LW got to experience a state tournament like none other. He cheered Mav on and even when he was tired, found a way to be the shining light he is and keep people smiling.

Overall, it was a great state tournament and we are excited for what is to come for the Young Grafton Bearcats.

Grayson, along with students in Mrs. Ward's Digital Imaging 2 class, submitted designs.

Congrats to Maverick Bartsch as he competes amongst some of the best wrestlers in the state for the next couple days. Your hard work, determination and perseverance have led you to this point and will continue to carry you through life. We are so proud! Leave everything on the mat! 💪🏼 💛💙
