2021- New Year -

Goals, thoughts, progress, moving forward.

So much happened in 2020- the pandemic being the worst of it, having Covid, missing out on things, activities looking different for children & families, fatigue from work.

I lost sight of my goals. I lost sight of myself. I got so lost- my depression and anxiety engulfed me and I was a train wreck.

Moving forward in 2021 I’ve decided to set smaller, obtainable goals for myself, and take things one day, week & month at time.

Here’s my January 2021 calendar plan. Plain and simple. Not overcrowded with ”all the things & chaos” that consume my everyday life [work, children, cleaning, activities, driving, etc.] but simply a place for me to have goals set, a place to track when I’ve completed a workout, and something that is mine.

••move your body in some way••
•not as punishment
•not because you HAVE to

—move because you WANT to!
-for a healthier body
-to set an example
-to prove to yourself that you can!

I still have a long way to go.
I may not move much more today because I’m exhausted, but I did it.

good Sunday morning my fitness family!

Todays post is supposed to be about giving advice to someone- let me be real- I can’t give anyone else advice because I am 100% sh*tty at following it myself.

What I can do is remind you that:
•it is OKAY to pause
•It’s okay to stop
•It’s okay to fail.

BUT

what IS NOT OKAY:
•staying there!
•thinking that because you did those things you are not enough

You have to keep moving forward. You have to pick yourself up (or reach out for help) and keep going. It is okay to have a bad day. To have a rest day. To have an off day. But don’t let that be your normal. Get your b***y moving again!

My photo today- is my workout tracker for the month. There are days I did absolutely nothing. There are days I just stretched. And that’s OKAY! Listen to your body. Listen to your mind. But always remember FAIL FORWARD!

𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧! ⁣

You are all of those things plus more. Don’t let others dull your sparkle. Your shine. Your desires to do more and be a better you! ⁣

I don’t workout to have the best figure around. I don’t share my photos, videos and clips to rub it in anyone’s faces. I share to keep myself accountable. To maybe, just maybe, give someone else that extra push to strive for more.⁣

𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰: you may just see a girl holding a light weight- I see a girl who is finally able to hold a 10 # weight for a tricep kickback and spots the definition forming.⁣

𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰: you may see crazy hair, a half smile, a little sweat. I see a girl who pushed through a workout even when she didn’t want to do it because snuggles with my daughter sounded better. ⁣

𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰: you may see a girl with uncontrolled hair, another smirk, wrinkles. I see a girl who is learning to embrace the chaos that is naturally curly hair. A girl who has been through a lot and still pushes through to be a better version of herself than she was yesterday. ⁣

𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘴𝘶𝘯𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘣𝘰𝘸𝘴. ⁣

Some days it’s a struggle to hit “the gym” and push play. Some days I want to say forget it and just sit on the couch and snuggle my littlest one. ⁣

𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐚𝐲.⁣

It’s rainy. Reagan is being clingy. There’s stuff to be done. I took t two rest days due to an injury and today I had to modify and use lighter weights. 𝐁𝐔𝐓 𝐈 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐝 𝐮𝐩! ⁣

Don’t make excuses, they’ll never get you anywhere. Keep falling forward!⁣
