Welcome to NOMS, Coach Cowherd!

Shavar Cowherd is an educator, coach, and athletic administrator with more than 15 years of experience developing student-athletes and leading successful athletic programs. A native of Lebanon, Kentucky, and graduate of Marion County High School, he was a multi-sport athlete in track and field, basketball, football, and weightlifting. He studied Physical Education at the University of Louisville and Western Kentucky University. After beginning his coaching career at Kammerer Middle School, he joined Francis Parker School of Louisville, where he has spent the past 14 years serving as a middle school coach, Varsity Head Coach, and Associate Athletic Director. Shavar lives in Louisville with his wife and enjoys fishing, traveling, and watching sports.
