✨ What a Year. What a Team. What’s Next. ✨

As we Ring in the New Year, (see what I did there?) we’re taking a moment to celebrate.

This year, we officially formed a NARA Ring Club, turning vision into reality. Our team dogs and handlers stepped up, earning:
🏅 1 Ring 1 title
🏅 1 first leg Ring 1
🏅 3 Brevets
🏅 4 CSAUs

Our growth didn’t stop on the field. Our decoys expanded their skills at a workshop in Florida, while our handlers invested in their craft through multiple seminars and workshops with top Ringsport trainers and decoys. Commitment, education, and teamwork have been at the core of everything we’ve done.

And to top it all off—this Christmas, the club invested in a regulation palisade, setting the stage for even bigger goals ahead. 💪

Looking forward to the new year, we’re fired up and focused. We plan to continue titling, and we’re aiming high with plans to host our first Ring trial and seminar right here in Michigan.

On to bigger goals, stronger dogs, sharper skills, and an even better year ahead.

Well alright… seems people are happy to see Ringsport back in Michigan… sooo to get some more info to ya, it’s me Pat Riley with Backwoods K9, we fully switched to Ring a couple years ago, we have since began getting some dogs titled and networking. We have decoys who’ve been training in ring and plan to get certified soon for trial, I’m still just an ole training decoy. We really enjoy this sport and it fits for what we want. I’m trying to reply to messages so be patient if I haven’t replied yet. Thanks again -PR-

Welcome to Misfit Ringsport – Michigan’s French Ringsport Club!

We’re proud to bring French Ringsport back to Michigan with the launch of Misfit Ringsport, a club dedicated to growing the Ringsport community and helping handlers and dogs reach their full potential.

What is French Ringsport?
It’s an exciting and challenging dog sport that combines obedience, agility, and protection work. It’s mentally and physically demanding—but incredibly rewarding for both dog and handler.

Whether you’re just curious, a beginner, or an experienced handler, Misfit Ringsport is open to all levels with handlers and fogs from varied protection sport backgrounds. We’re here to train, grow, and support each other as a team.
