⚡️16 yr old barrel and pole gelding ⚡️

He has been with a highschool girl for the past year and run some 17s on a standard, and is patterned on poles, although she didn’t enter him. 1/2d times with a prior owner. He is very sweet to be around on the ground and has a pretty fancy handle under saddle. Straight and clean legged. Normal performance maintenance, but nothing injury related and regularly vetted. He is up to date on teeth, shoes and vaccines. Loads and hauls great, good for the farrier and gets along well with horses next to him. 15.3 hh. He is extremely powerful so I wouldn’t recommend him for a youth rider or inexperienced competitor. Currently located in Gooding, ID. PPE at buyers expense. 2022 gelding, futurity eligible for 2027. Paid into Pink, Ruby, Riata, Young Guns, TL, FF and RC.
15.1 hh, straight legs, nicely built and good feet. Very sweet and personable to be around. He is cruising a nice set of barrels (as well as patterned on poles) and has been being hauled to time onlies. Hauls, bathes, stand for farrier, good with other horses. Located in Gooding, ID. If you have ever had a horse bleed after a run, you know there is not a quick fix.

It can mean canceled entries, weeks away from competition, and extensive care to support their lungs afterward.

Exercise-Induced Pulmonary Hemorrhage (EIPH) is a reality for many barrel horses, and it is not always visible from the outside. A horse may not show blood coming from the nostrils to be experiencing it.

Race Remedy is a pre-race paste created to support horses prone to bleeding under the demands of competition.

You cannot control everything that happens during a run. But you can be intentional about how you support your horse going into it.
