Canoe Trail Goliad members staffed the last checkpoint for the annual Texas Water Safari paddling race. The toughest river race in the US. At 260 miles long and contending with Texas heat, humidity, mosquitos, break downs, no sleep, and this year - thunderstorms, it is a challenge to complete the course. Thank you to CTG members - Charles, Susie, and Carl Clapsaddle; Janie VonDolen; Mark Howell; and Wilfred Korth for staffing the check station.

The San Antonio River Authority Annual River Clicks Photo
Contest is open for entry. Any photos taken on the Goliad Paddling Trail, or in Goliad, Karnes, Wilson, or BEXAR Counties are eligible for entry. Entry is free and they award some great prizes.

Canoe Trail Goliad held its highway cleanup today. Thank you to all who came out to help.

Thank you to Claire Barnhart, Janie VonDohlen, and Carl Clapsaddle who all volunteered at our booth at Goliad State Park & Historic Site - Texas Parks and Wildlife Rio Rio Event today. We had around 200 kids go thru our Water Safety Activities today. Rio Rio runs thru Saturday, so stop by Goliad State Park and check out all of the activity booths.

Another successful Fall Flotilla. A big THANK YOU to all the CTG volunteers, the San Antonio River Authority River Crew, and the Goliad State Park & Historic Site - Texas Parks and Wildlife shuttle crew & take out crew. And THANK YOU to Jed East who allowed us to launch off of his property giving our participants an 8.8 mile paddle. Robin, as always, thank you for doing such a great job of capturing our event. Now on to prep for our Spring Flotilla.
