What an exciting time for girls flag football! The sport continues to grow at an incredible pace, opening doors for female athletes to compete, lead, and shine. From youth programs to high school competition and beyond, the momentum is undeniable. We are proud to be a part of this movement and can't wait to see where the future of girls flag football takes us

Participation in high school sports in the U.S. reached an all-time high over the past two years, and the reason is because of the rapid growth of girls wrestling and girls flag football.

The National Federation of State High School Associations recently released its participation survey for the 2025-26 school year. The association gathers participation numbers from all state associations in the country, including the PIAA (Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association).

If these alignments hold true, Shaler Area is in for an exciting and highly competitive season! With talented programs throughout Section 1, every game will be a battle and every week will matter.
