GCC Campus Garden

GCC Campus Garden El Vaquero Garden is the Glendale Community College Garden Club. It is a volunteer effort spearheaded by students, faculty, staff and alumni.

El Vaquero Greenery is a 21-bed community garden located on the Glendale Community College campus at the south end of the parking structure above the tennis courts. The garden is maintained by the El Vaquero Greenery Community Garden Club. Our goal is to learn about gardening in a supportive and friendly environment while growing annual flowers and vegetables. El Vaquero Greenery also beautifies t

he campus while providing a practical demonstration of sustainability, organic gardening principals, and the farm-to-table movement. Our philosophy is learning while doing.

It's really riveting (and some great investigative journalism) this article drives home the message that it really pays to do your homework if you are paying for the benefits of fresh, local or seasonal foods

If you eat food, you are being lied to every day.
