I’ve never fit the “strength coach” persona.
I fell in love with coaching not for the aesthetics, not for the results, but simply because the gym was one of the first spaces where I felt like I could be myself.
Because truthfully, I’ve never really fit into any crowd.
Wasn’t big or fast enough for the athletes.
Wasn’t smart enough for the nerds.
Wasn’t degenerate enough for the “cool kids.”
And maybe that’s why, as Frequency Lift Club | Tempe Personal Training grows, I’m so proud of what it’s becoming.
A place for the misfits. đź’ś
For the people who never felt like they belonged in a gym. Maybe you were never exposed to lifting. Maybe you walked into a weight room and felt like everyone knew what they were doing except you. Maybe the fear of looking stupid kept you from ever really trying.
Let me be the first to tell you:
Your background doesn’t matter.
Your experience doesn’t matter.
Where you came from doesn’t determine where you’re capable of going.
You can be whoever tf you wanna be, and you DESERVE to feel strong and confident doing it.
You don’t have to look, act, dress, or live like a “gym person” to become strong.
You just have to be willing to learn, grow, and support the people beside you who are trying to do the same. 🧡
Maybe I never fit the strength coach persona.
Good.
I’d rather build a place for everyone else who never felt like they fit either. 💜
