🏁⚡️Imm Racing recap⚡️🏁
🏁⚡️for the 2025 racing season.⚡️🏁

Late to have an end of the year recap but here it is! We had hoped we would be ending the season at the Tulsa shootout but after losing a couple of engines towards the end of the year it isn’t in the stars for us! This season saw a little scale back on our schedule. With most of our crew and drivers working full time jobs getting to the race track was a little more difficult! With that being said though all in all it was a good year for Imm Racing! Laike started the year of with a win and Josie ended the year with her a top ten and some others that could have been top tens! This year wasent as dominant as last year. We learned so much as a race team though! We found a ton of speed in the a-class car, Josie made huge strides in her racing craft. The last race of the year sadly Laike watched from the infield after blowing and engine, but that was the best Josie had ever been! Sad we didn’t get to more races to continue to improve with Josie! Laike ran very well in the sportsman class with some of the toughest competition that class has ever seen!

Now onto the most important part of this post, our sponsors and supporters. We had a ton more generous people and business join our team this year. Photolodgic, Reed’s Pasture Clearing, and Bar Arrow Cattle Company joined forces with Imm racing this Year. Without their support Imm Racing wouldn’t be able to do what they do! Imm Racing also welcomed back many sponsors whom have been with us for years! Tripe Chevrolet in Alma Nebraska, Bach Oil, B&B Redimix, Sandtrap Bar and Grill, Vorhees Fab , Steve’s Lawn Care, Speedstix Shocks, VP racing fuels ,Runnion Signs, Grandpa Eric, Overmiller and family, Aunt Marcia and Uncle Tom, The Voborils. A massive thank you To Terry John of John Farms Motorsports as well. Since Terry has joined Imm Racing his dedication has been nothing short of astounding. Without his unwavering support to our race team we would not be able to compete at the level we do. Thank you once again to all our sponsors, supports and fans for making the 2025 season the best it could be!

Now onto business. Sadly this year will be the last significant schedule Imm Racing will tackle. While we are not shuddering our race team completely we are taking a significant step back. Laike Imm will be starting a full time job after finishing his college education next May. Josie will finish her first year of college and has different plans for the summer she will release in her own time when she figures them out. Time, money, and dedication is what a race team needs to succeed. Imm Racing t**e a hard hit this year on engines and with time becoming less and less a full season is just not in the cards anymore. Laike has now been racing for 17 years. Josie just had her third year. This sport is in our race team and families heart. While this is most certainly not the end of our race team it is certainly an end to an era. It’s time for our racers to try and figure out life and where racing can continue to work in theirs. Imm Racing and the entire Imm family would like to Thank not only our sponsors and supporters, but our fans and fellow racers. Many have become an extended part of our family. Racing for this family has been our soul, passion, and commitment. Thank you racing for all you have done for Imm Racing and the Imm Family.

Weekend recap!

Imm racing had two days of awesome racing this past weekend! We love when we get to do two days back to back.

We started out with the Corey Imm memorial! It turned out to be a bad fast racetrack, laike brought the 33 home 5th, and Josie brought her 3j home 12th. On a race track that fast you gotta take what your given!

Now onto the promoter side of that race, wow is all we have to say. We are so blessed with the people in our racing. We had so much support for this race, and the most prizes and money up we have had! This race is something that wouldn’t be possible without sponsors and donations and the amazing people who helped us out, so THANK YOU! The Corey imm memorial is something we NEVER want to die out. You can expect an even bigger and better race next year.

Onto Jefferson, laike went 6-1 in his heat and josie went 6-6. Unfortuently two laps into the a feature, the 33 motor finally let go. We can’t complain, that motor had a good run. Josie ran a very good race. She did things she has never done on track before. Her starts were amazing, she learned, and she switched to the top with about 10 to go and wow😳. She brought it home 15th in a field of 23! She moved up 7 spots!

This will more than likely be imm racings last race for 2025. We would love to make it to the show me show down, but with a blown motor it may not be possible. We are hoping to be able to get back to the track in October but that is all relative so n getting an engine back together!

Thank you for an amazing year!

The Corey Imm memorial race has been rescheduled for Friday September 5th! After looking at all the options this seemed like the best course! We are aware this might not be ideal but since Kam has finished its season racing on Friday wont step on anyone’s toes! Will be a fun two days of racing just like we were going to have this weekend! Thank you to Washington Speedway and the city of Washington for working with our family and race team to try and find the best for everyone! This will not be the perfect situation for every race car driver in Jayhusker but hey, sometimes the sun shines, sometimes you race, and sometimes it rains! For those of you that choose to race with us next Friday it will be an amazing event with thousands of extra purse money, awards, plaques and bad to the bone racing! Thank you once again for everyone that donated money, plaques, awards, fuel, and time to make this race the best possible we can! This is a massive race for not only our family but jayhusker racing and micro sprint racing in the Midwest! The people who have donated to this race want to see our sport flourish and for race car drivers to succeed. Thank you for that!

It’s time ladies and gentlemen for the 3rd annual Corey Imm memorial race!!!

This is just down right unbelievable. The support the racing family has given the Imm family and this event is nothing short of amazing. We have over $3,500 worth of prize money being handed out through awards, purse money, and raffles, with more rolling in!

It’s all because of you! Racers giving back to racers! That’s who makes these events possible. The two day show at Washington Speedway has always been a staple in the Midwest but over the last couple of years it has become a premier event for the Jayhusker micro series. It’s because of the fans, racing family, the series, and all those that help us that make this event what it is. From the bottom of Imm racings heart we thank you for you time, money, and dedication to make this event what it is!

We get to start the weekend off by honoring Corey Imm. Corey was a racer at heart that brought that love to his kids and family. From a young age he was rebuilding engines, cars, and racing as much as he could. He was a gear head, competitive, and passionate. Above all though he was a fan of the sport. He wanted nothing more than the sport of racing to grow and involve as many people in this growth as possible. You could find him in his sunhat helping crew with his son Laike and his daughter Josie at Jayhusker Micro sprint races. We lost Corey to Cancer almost three years ago and not only did Imm Racing lose a father, a crew chief, and a financial support, but the racing family lost someone as well. Someone who would drop anything to help the fellow competitor. He never had any secrets, he wanted everyone to succeed and have fun doing it. Always walking around with a smile and energy that told you he just loved to be at the race track breathing in that dirt and methanol. Corey left a hole that might never be filled, but this event is a small way that we can honor the legacy that he left behind. So while we are all chasing that Checkered flag this Saturday night, Let us take a moment and realize how incredible it is that we get to wake up today and participate in this sport we call racing.

Thank you.

I know we have been quiet for a while on here so it’s about time for an update. You might have missed us at clay center this past weekend and you won’t be seeing Imm Racing at Fairbury either. There are a couple reasons why. Number one we are very busy planning and organizing our father’s memorial race! This race is going to be massive this year and we have so many amazing people that helped us do this! Secondly though and probably the more Importent of the two is this. Last Sunday after Fairbury Laike started feeling ill. Well later that night he found him self in the hospital with heat exhaustion and spent the next two days there in observation! Laike is taking it slow and trying to build his tolerance for the heat back up so we find it necessary to ensure he has enough time to do this. Yes racing is improtent to us but above all our drivers health and safety is of the upmost importance. Thank you all for your understanding and we will see you back on track August 30-31 at Washington speedway for the 3rd annual Corey Imm memorial race!

Thank you to all our amazing sponsors for their dedication!

What an awesome night of racing! We had speed as soon as we rolled the cars out of the trailer! Heat races went well! Josie actually finished 4th but a car jumped a start and they docked him a position which pushed her back a spot! Laike led all 8 laps to pick up a heat race win! The track had moisture all night long and the feature was a dog fight till the end! Laike ran up front with three other cars trading slide jobs, running hard and clean the whole time! Josie had to miss multiple flips and other cars and still brought him her first top ten in the sportsman division! We might be a little bias but the sportsman feature was the best feature of the night! Good, hard, fun and clean racing! Overall a very good night! Josie felt like she was losing power towards the end of the feature so we will address that and get ready for our father’s memorial race and two days at Washington coming up!!

Thank you to everyone who helps us up and down the road!
