The first night bite trip of 2026 is in the books. SLB and I headed out of Walnut and fished east. Bayrats in the usual colors (My Secret and Blue Wonder Glow) took a lot of bites but also lost a lot of fish. The Renosky side definitely put more eyes in the net. Firetiger, Watermelon, and Wonder bread all caught fish. We kept our 12 fish ranging from 17 to 21 inches. Water depth 6 to 12 seemed best. Watet temp 56 degrees.
