Some days you don’t need a big trail or a packed schedule. You just need a Jeep, your person, and a little bit of sky. There was a stretch where we honestly didn’t know what life was gonna look like for either of us. So when we get a slow day and an open road, we don’t take it for granted. Good music. Spoiled dogs. Sun going down over the trees. Nowhere we *have* to be, just rolling and breathing and being stupidly thankful we’re still here to do it. If you get a calm moment today, take it. If you have the opportunity to have a calm moment… take it and enjoy the ride!!

We replaced the whole suspension under Daisy May this weekend, and it made more of a difference than we thought it would. I knew the front drive side was sagging a little, but i didn’t realize how much the other springs were too. If your looking for OEM replacement leaf springs for a FC150 or FC170 Kaiser Willys Auto Supply has them.

I can’t say enough about how versatile my Devos Outdoor lights are. We use multiple 2000 models all the time when we go overlanding. But when I needed something to use so I can work on the axle under Daisy May. The 800 model was perfect, the stand can telescope and can adjust to whatever size I need the light at.

I am truly impressed with these lights, if you have ever thought about buying one of these I highly recommend them.

Daisy May update 🛠️💙
Today was motor pull day for our ’63 FC170. Lots of dirt, busted bolts, sketchy angles, and about 47 ‘wait, don’t move’ moments later… the old heart is officially OUT. This is the messy, not-so-pretty part of the build that nobody glamorizes. But it’s where ‘someday’ turns into ‘she’s really happening.’ One step closer to fresh guts, new life, and seeing Daisy May going down the trail instead of in the shop.

Feels like I made a lot of progress on the FC overlanding build this weekend. The flat bed tray is built, welded, and painted. I still need to build the storage boxes for the undersides and deck it. But that’s for another weekend.

Now it’s time to start the engine swap….
