2026 Youth Girls Basketball Camp!

This camp is for girls attending CUSD7 that will be entering 2nd-5th grade for the 2026-2027 school year.

Flyers were sent home from school, but this version can be printed and returned to the BenGil office if needed.

Our 6th grade Jr. Lady Miners traveled to the State Basketball Championship Tournament in Bloomington this weekend and took home 3rd place!

2-2 in a tournament field filled with teams from much larger schools. They all left it all on the floor and represented Gillespie CUSD #7 Athletics well!

Our 7th Grade Lady Indians finish regular season play with an 11-9 record!

The 8th Grade Team finished strong winning 3 of their last 5 games!

Both teams have had many great moments this season!

7th Grade will play at Staunton versus East St. Louis-Lincoln this Saturday 11/22. 10:00am tipoff.

Many of our players came out to support our high school team at their first game last night!

A few of our middle school and youth players were recently spotted in Champaign attending the Fighting Illini Women's Basketball game vs Illinois State University Redbirds!

If you have a young player, take her to see one of our local college or university teams play. It is an eye-opening experience to see the game played at the highest levels!

(PRO TIP: If you want to get on the Jumbotron...dress up as the The Lorax!)

We celebrated our 8th grade players at our game on 11/13 v. Southwestern. Thank You to Jessie, Alyssa, Khloe and Alyssa for your leadership shown on and off the Court. We look forward to continuing to watch you grow in the game as the years progress. Our season isn't over yet, and some important games ahead!
