3 weeks and it honestly seems like I competed last year! ๐ Seems like itโs been 30 weeks - not 3! The high of competing has subsided and the mentality is in and I am here for itโฆuntil coach decides otherwise.๐
Coach and I did some bloodwork to ensure Iโm in a good spot health wise. Organ function looks perfect but some low thyroid levels, as I have always had and have been on medication, so it is expected! Now just a few tweaks to things and we should be good!
Despite thyroid levels being pretty low, weight was still dropping pretty quickly! I lost almost 3-4lbs below stage weight, so macros have been bumped pretty freaking high and Iโm finally maintaining stage weight at 119/120lbs! Weight loss is NOT the goal, rather slowly slowly increasing.
Just a friendly reminder, off season looks different for each athlete! Donโt compare yours to anotherโs, or to mine. Iโve been doing this since 2014 and let me just say, more off seasons than not for me have been messy, not followed, an emotional roller coaster and just completely food and weight focused. It takes time, patience, grace and conscious awareness of the emotions and physical changes that come along with post show. And also a coach who will hold your hand through it!
