We are thrilled to announce a FREE community screening of the award-winning documentary, LAST LAP, featuring local Olympian runner Doris Heritage! The film, directed by Andy Yardy of Kinetic Village, won "Best Washington Made" film in the 2024 Gig Harbor Film Festival. A lively Q&A session will follow the 46-minute film.
LAST LAP will be screened on Monday, June 16 at 6:30pm at the Galaxy Theatre in Gig Harbor. Bring your friends and family and come learn why Gig Harbor's newest park is named after this remarkable woman, Doris Heritage!

Thanks to The City of Gig Harbor, Galaxy Theatres in Uptown, and Kinetic Village we can offer this FREE SCREENING after the ribbon cutting ceremony on June 16.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at the new Doris Heritage Park at 4pm. The park is located adjacent to the Tom Taylor Family YMCA at 10660 Harbor Hill Drive in Gig Harbor.
Both events are free and open to all.
LAST LAP tells the story of Doris' extraordinary journey from a barefoot girl sprinting on the beach in Gig Harbor to a world-renowned running legend and coach.
