Today we remember the men and women who laid down their lives for others.

Their sacrifice gave families freedom, communities peace, and generations opportunities; but through their sacrifice, they would never personally see any of it.

Memorial Day is bigger than cookouts, tournaments, and long weekends.
It’s a reminder that freedom has always carried a cost.

So today, we honor the fallen.
We pray for the families who still carry the weight of loss.
And we graciously remember the courage of those who chose sacrifice over self.

But even in remembrance, we look to the One greater sacrifice.
Because there was also One who willingly laid down His life for the whole world.

Jesus didn’t die for a nation alone, but for every soul.
And through His sacrifice and resurrection, we were offered something no political view, no nation, no earthly freedom can fully give: eternal hope, eternal peace, and forgiveness of our sins.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

Today we remember the fallen.
And we give thanks for the One True Savior who gave everything for us all. ✝️
