The Houston Golf team is having the first round of tryouts for the Fall Season on May 13 and 14 at 4pm at Cherokee Valley Golf course in Olive Branch, MS. 9-holes each day with more days TBA. If interested and are planning on being there next week, email me at [email protected] and let me know so I can get a head count for the course. Greens fee required.

Fun day of indoor practice at Hightee golf simulator. Nice short game practice on Southwind #11 then off to hitting bombs. Tried playing Augusta National but was overwhelmed with it's difficulty.

Congrats to our golf teams. They did a great job at the Memphis Junior tournament today at Fox Meadows. Boys won with a great team score of 287, +3 total. Medalist was Nathanael Joseph with a 4 under 67. John Gavin got 3rd with a 1 over 72.
The girls had one of their best team scores so far and finished 1 shot out of first. They shot a 155 with Erin Mcdonald getting 3rd overall with a 75 and Violet Maggipento finishing 5th overall with a season low 80. Great work everyone. Keep improving...

Houston Mustangs Boy's and Girl's golf teams both won against Arlington yesterday. The boy's won 157 to 159 led by medalist Nathanael Joseph with a 1-under 35. The girls won by a score of 93 to 95. Boy's and Girl's are both 2-0 for the season. They play again Thursday against Bartlett and Friday in the Memphis junior championships.
