Meet Carlee! Carlee is a Junior and this will be her second year cheering for GHS! She is a base!

What would you tell someone who is thinking about trying out for cheer?: “I would go for it, and to try something new that they haven’t done because overall it’s a great experience.”

Carlee’s fun fact is that she does her own nails!

A word from her coaches: Carlee is a natural born leader. Whenever it’s time to demonstrate something for other girls to learn, she is one of the first ones to step up. She’s extremely strong and talented. She picks up on new routines and stunts so quickly. She takes her critiques and works on them to improve. She has come so far as both a cheerleader and a person. We are so excited to have you this year Carlee!

What would you tell someone who is thinking about trying out for cheer?: “It is an opportunity to make new friends and have amazing experiences!”

Harley’s fun fact is that she loves true crime podcasts and shows!

A word from her Coaches: Harley always comes to practices and games with a positive attitude and ready to work. Her kind and bubbly personality easily rubs off on anyone she crosses paths with. She’s always one of the first ones who wants to step in for a new stunt and asks questions to make sure she is performing at the best level. One thing we love about Harley is her willingness to improve, which she does each and every day! We are excited to have her join us this year!

Meet our Superstar Sophomore, Illianna Cabral!! Illianna is going into her second season with GHS Cheer and she is most excited to go to State Cheer!

What would you tell someone who is thinking about trying out for cheer?: “You will have so much fun bonding with the team and stunting!”

Illianna’s fun fact is that she loves capybaras!

A word from her coaches: We are truly so excited and blessed to have Illianna return as a veteran this year. She is so knowledgeable about cheer, and very talented at stunting. She’s really stepped into being a leader this year, and we are so excited to see her growth this season!!

Meet Macey!! Macey will be a freshman this year, meaning this is also her first year on the team! Macey is most excited to get to know her team better and creating bonds with the girls!

Macey mainly is a flyer, but she has also backspotted a few times!

What would you tell someone who is thinking about trying out for cheer?: “It’s so much fun and you get to make a lot of friends!”

Macey’s fun fact is that she’s very creative!

A word from her coaches: Macey has stepped into a new environment, but you wouldn’t even know it. She’s always had so much personality since day one, and we truly don’t think she has a shy bone in her body. She’s always has a great attitude and is always willing to learn, and takes every correct and applies it. We are excited to see her shine and improve this year!

Meet Sloane!! Sloane is a Freshman and this is her first year cheering! She is most excited to get to know her team more and developing her cheer skills! She’s a backspot.

What would you tell someone who is thinking about trying out for cheer?: “To do it and that’s it’s super fun and you get to hang out with lots of new people.”

A fun fact about Sloane is she’s a really good baker.

A Word from her Coaches: Sloane is a very quick learner and hard worker. Just in the short time she’s been on the team, she’s spent her time learning from her upperclassmen, and quickly picks up stunts. We’re excited to see her grow this season!

Looking for a way to show your Bulldog Pride? Is the exterior of your home missing some extra pizzazz? Let the Gering High School Cheerleaders help!!

Our girls can add the official Gering “G” logo to your driveway for ONLY $20! This fundraiser helps our girls raise money for new uniforms, tailored specifically to each girl, and allows them to keep their uniforms as a keepsake to look back on in the future.

If you’re interested, we will have signups during Open House at GHS, GMS, and Northfield Elementary. If you’re unable to make it but would still like a painting or have any questions, contact Ashley at 308-360-2353!
