You’re looking at the fastest Great Crossing High School men’s cross country team ever. The 2025 Warhawks team of Dylan Russell, Koen Johnson, Andrew Feeback, Eli Russell, Logan Dant, Collin Watson and Ian Seater blasted the school record for total time with all scoring runners averaging 17:56 and all seven runners under 20 minutes.

The team finished sixth in the region, only five points out of fourth place.

The injury-depleted girls team just missed qualifying, with Tinsley Smith earning a return trip to the state meet as an individual.

Race day! GCHS XC enjoyed a pasta dinner Friday night at the school’s library to get ready for Saturday’s Class AAA Region 6 championship meet.

The boys race at 11:30 am and the girls follow at 12:15 pm. Shelby County HS is hosting the meet at 600 Rocket Lane in Shelbyville.

We had such a great trip to Indiana for the Nike XC Town Twilight national meet. Lots of great runners.

Our own Dylan Russell finished sixth in the boys Friday night race under the lights, while Tinsley Smith lead the girls team. Results attached.

We will race in the Haunted Woods in Buckner Saturday. More information to follow.

Took a side trip to Casey, Illinois while we wait for the Nike XC Town Twilight meet in Terre Haute tonight.
