We are beyond proud of our boys. They ended the season with an incredible 37 wins out of 45 games, but what makes this team so special goes far beyond the numbers. Throughout the season, they grew not only as baseball players, but as teammates, leaders, and young men. They showed determination, resilience, sportsmanship, and heart throughout the season. They celebrated the highs and learned from the tough moments. Watching their confidence, friendships, and love for the game grow has been the greatest victory of all.
They wrapped up their 11U season at Shipyard, a beautiful facility where they had the opportunity to compete against some outstanding teams. They battled their way to the semifinals and faced one of the top 30 ranked teams in the nation. When severe weather forced the game to end early, the tournament director initially declared our boys the winners, sending them to the championship game. However, while they were waiting to play in the championship game, that decision was later reversed, and the boys were told they had to finish the semifinal under extremely difficult circumstances, with some very questionable calls that changed the outcome.
It was an incredibly disappointing way to end the tournament, especially with Top Gun's handling of the situation. Despite everything, these boys responded with maturity, class, and resilience. They played some of the best baseball we've seen all season, and we couldn't be prouder of the way they represented themselves, their families, and their team.
Thank you to our coaches, families, and everyone who supported these boys throughout the season. This team has given us memories we'll never forget, and we couldn't be prouder of everything they accomplished—on and off the field. 💙⚾
