Gentry Quiz Bowl

Gentry Senior High Quiz Bowl competed at 4A State in Dardanelle today. We entered the elimination round as the 13th seed and lost narrowly to 4th seed Arkadelphia 260-230. We look forward to building on our experience next year!

Gentry High School Quiz Bowl Team finished 2nd place at 4A-2 Senior High Regionals in Berryville today with a record of 3-1! We qualified for 4A State in Dardanelle on April 11th.

Team member Ivan Chupp made All Tournament Team with an average of 7 tossups a game.

Gentry took three students to senior high Quiz Bowl camp at the 4-H Center in Little Rock today. Each student was grouped with students from other schools. Ivan was part of the second place team, and Chuseng was part of the third place team. All members enjoyed meeting Quiz Bowlers from other schools and going to workshops to improve their skills and knowledge. So proud of their dedication to making our program even better!

Saturday, October 11th, our Junior High and Senior High Quiz Bowl Teams competed competed in their first tournament of the year at the Heritage Invitational at Rogers Heritage High School. While the results were not what we had anticipated, as neither team earned any game wins, we gained valuable experience. We’re excited to witness the growth of our teams during our 2025-2026 season!

On February 27th, the Gentry Elementary Quiz Bowl team traveled to Pea Ridgev to compete with 5th and 6th grade teams from PR and Gravette. They played 6 games and won 3 and lost 3. The 3 that they lost were to older 6th Grade teams! Super proud of them for their first ever competition!

Our Junior High Quiz Bowl team competed today in their very 1st State Competition at Bryant High School in Bryant, AR! After the 1st 3 rounds , they were seated in the 10th place. Sadly, they lost in the 1st round of single elimination play.

We are ao very proud of the growth that they have shown this year! We cannot wait to see how far they can go in the future!

Today, these students competed in the 2025 AGQBA Junior High Regional Tournament and came home with 3rd place! This qualifies them for State Competition in 2 weeks in Bryant, Arkansas! They have worked so hard for this, and being only a 2 year old team, this shows a great future for them!

On January 16th, our Junior High Quiz Bowl team competed in Rogers at Janie Darr Elementary in a local tournament. We are seeing improvement in their performance and they are even developing some new competition tactics! We can't wait to see where this team goes in the future!

On December 14th, these students participated in a Middle School Quiz Bowl Tourney in Greenwood, Ar. We were down a member, but we are still seeing growth from them! Way to go Gentry Middle School Quiz Bowl Team!
