What a game yesterday. —

Geneseo Blue Knights 12U Walk Off In Nail-Biter

Geneseo Blue Knights 12U earned a thrilling 8–7 walk-off win Friday at Highland Park. The game was tied at seven in the bottom of the sixth when Angelo Manzo delivered the game-winning single to bring home the winning run.

Jordyn Doviak powered the offense with four RBIs, finishing 1-for-2 at the plate.

The Blue Knights got on the board early when Weston Cornwell singled to center to tie the game in the first inning. They battled throughout and reclaimed the lead in the bottom of the sixth, scoring on a wild pitch before Angelo’s walk-off hit sealed the victory.

Zach Doviak started on the mound, allowing three runs over 2⅔ innings while striking out two. Weston C and Jacob Holley provided relief.

At the plate, Zach D, Sammy Repass, and Angelo M each recorded two hits. The team showed patience with seven walks, led by Weston C and Asher Bridge with two apiece. Weston also stole two bases. Defensively, the Blue Knights were flawless, committing no errors, with Angelo M leading the team with six defensive plays.

Geneseo Blue Knights 12U return home Sunday to face Canandaigua 12U-Steckline.

Geneseo Blue Knights 12U Takes the Lead Late for a 7–6 Victory

Geneseo Blue Knights 12U snatched the lead late in a thrilling 7–6 victory on Sunday. The game was tied at six in the top of the sixth when Jacob Holley doubled to bring in the go-ahead run.

The Blue Knights showed resilience, rallying for the win after trailing 5–1 in the third inning. They surged back in the top of the sixth when Grant Baur doubled up the middle, Chris Forshee doubled to center field, Sammy Repass grounded out, and Jacob H doubled to right field—each driving in a run during the decisive comeback.

Zach Doviak got the start on the mound, allowing six hits and five runs over three innings while striking out one and walking four. Chris F was dominant in relief, throwing two innings of scoreless baseball while giving up just one hit, striking out five, and issuing no walks.

At the plate, Zach D set the tone at the top of the lineup with two hits in three at-bats. Chris F, Grant B, Zach D, Sammy R, and Jacob H each drove in a run. Chris F also drew two walks as the team showed strong plate discipline, totaling six walks. On the basepaths, Chris F stole four bases and the Blue Knights finished with nine stolen bases overall.

Defensively, Geneseo was flawless and did not commit a single error. Jordyn Doviak led the team in the field with six chances.

The Blue Knights will travel to Kendall for their next game on Saturday.
