🚨Update on the Ethan Sandell Memorial Tournament🚨

Hey Everyone we hope you’re enjoying your summer! We wanted to give everyone an update and a reminder about the Tournament coming up on July 11th.

For Starters with UTR not cooperating with us we will be taking registrations for the tournament via email. You can email either myself or Coach Jones for entry into this tournament. Please send your emails to:
[email protected] & [email protected]

As far as payment, instead of paying online like we hoped for originally we ask that you pay at the tournament desk when you first arrive to check in. The entry fee is $30 per person for each division. We will also be running a deal with an optional T-shirt that will be $15. Again this is not a mandatory thing that you have to buy but if you do want the shirt please let us know in your email and again you will pay for it at the tournament desk.

We will still be having Boys Singles, Girls Singles, Boys Doubles, Girls Doubles, and Mixed Doubles.
We ask that all entries are sent by July 6th that way we have enough time to create the draws and have enough time to get the T-shirt orders in. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

We had an incredible turnout on Day 3 of our Hornet Tennis camp! Over these 3 days we had over 60 kids each day! This has easily been the most full and successful camp that we have had ever in the history of us hosting Tennis camp. We are so humbled and proud to coach this team and to see the bright future for Gatesville Tennis. We want to give a huge thank you to my players/coaches that helped us run this camp! Without them this isn’t possible. We also have to give a shoutout to Colleen McKay Fitzer for taking all of these pictures over the past 3 days of camp. Plus running the concession stand and helping us check kids in every day! This year was a massive success but it’s only the beginning for GHS Tennis!

We had an incredible turnout for our first day of Summer Camp! We actually set a record for the most amount of kids we have ever had since we’ve started doing the camp in 66 kids today! Big thank you to all our Varsity players helping coach the groups today and we can’t wait to get back out there tomorrow. Super proud and excited for the future of hornet tennis!

I want to say Congratulations to our seniors who graduated tonight! Justin Hutts, Dallas Clough, and Ally Nichols. These 3 have grown so much not only on the court as players but off the court as people. I’m very glad I got the chance to coach them this year. I’m super excited to see what they do in the future. They will always be apart of the Gatesville Hornets Tennis team!

We had a great time tonight celebrating our team and the season we had. This season has been a very unique one with coaching changes and injuries but I can’t express how proud I am of each and every player on this team. This was an incredible season that had some ups and downs but I wouldn’t trade any of it. I’m super proud of our seniors as well battling through so much adversity throughout their careers here. We are sad to see them go but we are so proud of them! We’re going to come back from summer ready to roll and get going for the fall season!
