Thank You & Community Update❤️❤️❤️

A huge thank you to Jessica Putman and the entire Cougar family for providing food and drinks for our players. Your support means a lot during this difficult time.

The recent storms have been devastating to many in our Gary community. Our thoughts are with every family still dealing with power outages and damage.

School remains closed on Friday.
We are hopeful to reopen on Monday. Please continue to monitor official Gary Community School Corporation updates.

Important Game Update🚨🚨🚨

The Cougars’ scheduled game against Fort Wayne Northrop has been cancelled.

The health and safety of our players is always the first priority. After evaluating the situation, the decision was made that it is in the best interest of our student-athletes not to play this contest.

Our first game of the season will now be next Friday at home against East Chicago Central.

We appreciate your support and understanding. More information will be released soon.

Cougar Family Update🚨🚨🚨

Our thoughts are with everyone in the Gary community affected by yesterday’s severe storms. Many families are still without power, and several school buildings were impacted.

There will be no school on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
Please take care of yourselves and check on your neighbors. The safety and well-being of our students, families, and staff is what matters most right now.
Support for Families

The district will still be providing grab-and-go lunches tomorrow:

🕚 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
📍 West Side Leadership Academy (900 Gerry St, Gary)
Drive-thru only. Enter from 11th Avenue and Gerry Street.

Please bring ID or proof of enrollment. One lunch per student + one for the parent/guardian.
