💡 TUESDAY TIP: Stop rushing your rest periods.
If your next set starts while you’re still gasping for air from the last one, you might not be giving your muscles enough time to recover.
Your rest time should match what you’re trying to accomplish:
🏋️ Heavy strength work: Give yourself 2–3 minutes
💪 Moderate strength/hypertrophy: Around 60–90 seconds
🔥 Circuit or conditioning work: Shorter rest periods can absolutely have a purpose
Here’s the important part:
Sweating more doesn’t automatically mean you had a better workout.
Sometimes taking an extra 30–60 seconds means you can perform your next set with better form, better control, and more strength — which may be exactly what you need to actually challenge the muscle.
So next time you feel guilty standing around between sets…
You’re not being lazy. Rest is part of the workout. 😉
🌿 Move with intention.
