June Trial Wrap-Up!

What a great time we had celebrating Ready 2 Run's 25th Birthday last weekend in Fallon! Thank you to everyone for pitching in and making the trial run as smooth as the courses (well, except maybe that Chances course...). That includes the trial committee - Cherie, Luke, Phil, Kim P, Maureen, Linda, Barb, Tracy, Sheila, Terry and Lynn - but all of the rest of you as well. The volunteer board filled up quickly, the trial kept moving right along, and we had plenty of much-appreciated help for set up and tear down.

Thanks also to our judge, Karin, who brought us interesting courses as always, and filled many other roles behind the scenes, as one of our longest-serving board members. Cherie (the other half of the surviving founding board member team known as "Cherin") plays more roles than I can count at almost every trial, and always makes it look easy. Super thanks to Party Planner Extraordinaire Lynn Saunders, who made the weekend feel like a real party, with activities and prizes galore.

Last but not least, Ron Dulco is now the defending Grand Champion Axe Thrower. Good luck holding onto your title at the next trial, Ron!

We were very fortunate to have a photographer on site over the weekend. John will have the photos up on his website lixophoto.com in a couple weeks and we will send out a reminder to everyone entered.

The next Ready 2 Run trial is at the end of July here in Reno. There are WAG trials this weekend, judged by Roger Coor, and 4th of July weekend, judged by our own Daniel Edwards. Do support WAG if you can.

What a heart-warming day. Celebrating the 25th birthday of Ready 2 Run Agility Club. Starting with our theme song Ready to Run by Dixie Chicks. We could feel the pride and community from everyone who gathered for the celebration. The club would absolutely never have made 25 years without the passion, energy, commitment and leadership of the two founding members Cherie Singer and Karin Bell. This has been a memorable and joyful weekend.

It’s time to put on your serape and head over to the Ready2Run Agility Club’s Cinco de Mayo trial, May 1-3, 2026, at the Reno Tahoe Equestrian Center (RTEC) located at 2455 Rhodes Rd., Reno!
